HAYDEN CREEK RANCH VACATION

Joe and Fran Tonsmeire and family have been ranching in the Lemhi Valley for 20 years. Their Hayden Creek Ranch is a 950-acre working cattle ranch located in the Lemhi Mountains, just south of Salmon, Idaho. Panoramic views from the ranch are beautiful as the ranch borders BLM and the Salmon National Forest land. Accommodations are in a Mongolian Yurt which rests on deck overlooking pristine Hayden Creek. Delicious meals are served in Joe and Fran's hand-built log home.

	LIFE ON THE RANCH Life on the ranch can be just as you like it. You can choose; horseback riding in meadows and pastures on the ranch, a day trip to a beautiful mountain lake, herding cattle, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, or just relaxing by the creek. We'll have picnics in pristine settings and bonfires down by the creek.
	The view up Hayden Creek is made even better by the evening shadows stretching across the fields. As the day fades you can enjoy snack on the deck over the stream and listen to the last calls of the meadow larks. When darkness comes you can pick out The Swan, Ursa Major, Draco, and many other constellations while you relax in the outdoor hot tub. A perfect ending to another superb day.

BEAR VALLEY LAKE OPTIONS
The Bear Valley Lakes Trailhead is only 10 miles from Hayden Creek Ranch. The trail climbs up through the timber and breaks out into the open 6 miles later at this beautiful chain of alpine lakes. The lakes have good fishing and there are excellent hiking opportunities up onto the surrounding peaks for terrific views. You can ride or hike up to the lakes for a day, or choose to do a longer horse packing or backpacking trip.

After your stay at the ranch or at Bear Valley Lakes, join one of our 6-day river trips on the Main Salmon River. The Salmon is one of our favorite trips and great for families, as well as any adventurer. We offer 4 days on the ranch and 6 days on the river.
